Josh is an accomplished and widely respected piano teacher recognized for his warm, personal and innovative teaching style. He's also an avid composer of original music, embracing a diverse range of styles including orchestral, progressive rock and experimental soundtracks.
Josh regularly participates in a variety of musical projects and has released several solo albums. Josh is passionate about art, philosophy and healthy living.
Sara is a classical pianist, soprano opera singer, saxophonist and hobby film composer. Growing up she made performance debuts at the Festival Theatre, performed with James Morrison and with a number of Australian Choirs. She is an experienced piano teacher, and also spent some time studying singing under tutors at the Conservatorium of Music. In her spare time she can be found out on the greens hitting a round of golf and showing the boys how it’s done, hiding all chewable items from her cheeky cocker spaniel Romeo, and enjoying Sydney’s local hotspots.
Conservatory of Music, Ancona
Paolo is an Italian-born artist and musician, who studied piano and accordion at the Conservatory of Music in Ancona and was head of the music program at the Italian Bilingual School in Meadowbank. As a solo musician, he has performed various styles of music: classical, pop, folk, Balkan, klezmer, jazz, soul and funk. Paolo's passion for acting and singing has seen him perform in plays, musicals and comedies, as well as voice overs. Paolo likes to imitate sounds and noises, and make jokes to his friends!
Dan is a classically trained composer who now writes for the big screen. His music features on several award-winning short films and documentaries, some of which have screened at Cannes; as well as numerous cinema and television advertisements, such as for the RSPCA. Dan is also an accomplished audio engineer who regularly produces concert recordings for various community orchestras. Natasha trained in piano from a young age, and it was not long after she learnt her very first piece that she discovered her strong passion for music. She graduated from high school at the top of her music cohort and was the recipient for the Cedric Ashton Award for Music Excellence, deciding to further pursue her music studies at UNSW. When Natasha is not jamming on the piano, she is usually travelling around Sydney to try unique and scrumptious food.
Gallya is a pianist and emerging composer with an innate musical passion instilled through church music and classical piano training. She is also an avid composer with a passion for orchestral and film music and is currently majoring in Composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In her spare time she also enjoys other creative activities such as arts, crafts, painting, sewing, puzzles and hanging out with friends at local cafes.
Mina has played since the age of 3, and began teaching when she was 16 after her own piano teacher offered her a job. In 2001 she played in the AMEB Piano Competition and was awarded 3rd place - an unforgettable experience. Mina often records herself playing ukelele & piano and boasts a YouTube channel full of music, especially songs from her mother country, Thailand. She also loves doing dance classes and has a pet rabbit named “Noi-Nha” (“Custard-Apple" in Thai).
Daniel is a multi instrumentalist, he equally enjoys piano, flute and singing, as well as writing music. He has always found his greatest motivation in music, he enjoys performing live as much as sharing his knowledge. As a teacher and music producer, his passion is to guide the forming artists to exceed their expectations and achieve the best of themselves. He's just as happy when he practices the piano alone in his room or when he sings with his band.
Katia is a classically trained pianist and oboist. She has a passion for composition and conducting and has lots of experience in different genres, playing for orchestras such as the Sydney Youth Orchestra, as well as working with the UNSW wind symphony and in musicals. Katia has learnt from some of the most prestigious composers in the Australian sphere. She's obsessed with films, so if you mention a movie, she's probably seen it!
Elisa is an Italian classically-trained pianist. She first started to play the piano at the age of 5 while doing ballet, horse-riding and ice-skating. Currently, she is the music expert of the Dante Alighieri Society Sydney, a historic Italian cultural institute. Since 2016, she has been supporting students with their AMEB and ABRSM exams, while performing every year as a soloist at the NSW Parliament House. In her spare time, she likes to make jewelry, paint, and bake cakes.
Ruby is known amongst her friends as always being bright and positive. Brought up to never be afraid of being imaginative, she aspires to encourage creativity in all her students. She was awarded 1st for Music in high school and is currently working towards her Grade 7 AMEB certificate. She loves baking ridiculously oversized cakes for special occasions, and spends her spare time adventuring and exploring the city.
Julie is a bubbly multi-instrumentalist and singer, who has always thrived in creative environments. After studying the violin until she was 13, she took to the piano with a longing to understand the mechanics of harmony, and with the help of her teacher she began writing songs.
She loves jewellery-making, painting, dancing, and jamming with her hip muso friends. She is at her happiest when swimming in the ocean or patting a dog.
Monica is a pianist, singer and violinist. She graduated with a BMus in Classical Performance and has over 5 years experience teaching various styles across all 3 instruments. Throughout her life she has been involved with various choirs and orchestras, including, Strathfield Symphony Orchestra, Wesley Institute Choir and VOX in the Sydney Philharmonic Choirs, to name a few. Her party trick is to play piano with one hand, violin with the other, and sing all at the same time!
Ben is an energetic teacher who plays piano, trumpet and guitar. He is aspiring to be like his songwriting heroes as he creates ambitious recordings and live performances. He has recently completed a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary) at the Australian Institute of Music. He is passionate about unleashing his students’ interests in music and letting that fuel their creative ambitions. Ben loves sport and history, collects more CD’s than anyone else and enjoys finding vintage instruments.
Chloe is the eldest of 6 siblings, has an undying love for ice-‐cream and genuinely loves grocery shopping. She is known to be adventurous and spontaneous - often finding new places to explore. With over 20 years of experience in piano and 10 years in teaching, Chloe is passionate about seeing her students not only develop in their skill and technique, but also grow in their confidence as a person, and passion for learning.
